Frankston YCW defeated Mt Eliza by 20 goals on Saturday. Despite a fast start from the Redlegs, the Stonekittens scored 21 goals to 10 in the second quarter to jump ahead of their opponents. Frankston YCW were able to carry that momentum with them into the second half of the match to win comfortably.

Dromana pounced early in their 26-goal win against Bonbeach. The Tigers doubled the Sharks in the first quarter then followed that up with a 20-goal to 12 second quarter. The Sharks did well to still work the ball down to their shooters, however, Dromana made the most of the opportunities they received and were unstoppable as the match went on with the margin between the two sides only widening.

Sorrento fought their way through their match with Mornington to win by 12 goals. The Bulldogs charged early taking a six-goal lead into the first break. However, Sorrento came out firing in the second quarter to win the quarter and bring the scores level at halftime. The Sharks then struck in the third quarter turning the match around to take the lead by five goals. Mornington were still a chance as the fourth quarter began, however, Sorrento were too good proving they’re going to be dangerous come finals.

Rosebud are running full steam ahead towards finals, remaining on top of the ladder with this weekend’s 51-goal win over Pines adding to their collection of wins for the season. From the first whistle, the Buds dominated, winning the first quarter by seven goals. The Pythons struggled to maintain possession and score in the middle of the match with a combined second and third quarter score of 11 compared to Rosebud’s 35. The onslaught continued in the final quarter with Rosebud keeping Pines to their lowest quarter of the match only three goals while they continued to slot in shot after shot with 23.

Edi-Asp had a big win over Frankston to give them a great momentum push heading into finals. Due to the conditions the games were moved to Peninsula Grammar and played indoors. Sarah Muston celebrated her 50 game milestone for the Bombers but it was a tough day in defence as the Eagles shot the lights out with 77 goals to the Bombers 37.
