Seaford has now proved they can defeat any side on their day, coming away with a five-goal win against Hastings. The Tigers started the match well with the five-goal buffer set up by the end of the first quarter. Scoring 12 goals to 9 in the second term, Seaford then extended their lead. The Blues upped the ante in the third quarter, making the most of their opportunities and scoring 14 goals to Seaford’s 10 to get within four of the Tigers. In the final quarter, Seaford found a way to halt the momentum the Blues were building and secure the win.

Crib Point continued their dominant run towards finals with a strong 32-goal win against Somerville.  The Magpies swooped early scoring 13 goals to 6 in the first quarter and then kept the pressure on throughout the match. Somerville were consistent in the middle quarters, however, Crib Point were too good as they continued to expand the gap between themselves and the Eagles two sides. Crib Points’ fourth quarter was their best, scoring 16 goals while their opponents were only able to slot in four.

Langwarrin was unstoppable this weekend, defeating Pearcedale by 62 goals in their clash. Langy's win puts them in good stead for the finals as they sit in third on the ladder which should see them finish with a second chance next week.

Chelsea also had a massive win defeating Rye by 39 goals. The Demons fell behind early in the match with Chelsea comfortably ahead by 18 goals at halftime. Rye had a better third quarter, however, they were no match for the Seagulls who won the quarter by eight. The final quarter continued to go Chelsea’s way as they continued to score easily. Shooter Jordyn Barnett was influential throughout the match finishing with 48 goals for her side.

Despite not being able to make finals Tyabb upset Karingal on the weekend. The Yabbies defeated Karingal by two goals in their second close match of the season. Last time the two sides met in Round 6 it was the Bullettes who came out on top, however, Tyabb bounced back and stole the win. Renae Brewster was great in goals for the Bullettes whn she usually spends time in defence whilst Brigitta Nemeric continues to be a reliable target for the Yabbies.

Red Hill had a strong 17-goal win over Devon Meadows. The first quarter was highly contested with the Panthers sitting only two goals behind their opponents. However, an impressive performance in the second quarter saw Red Hill slow down Devon Meadows who were only able to score three goals to their 10. The third quarter saw Red Hill further power through the match with only two goals going the way of the Panthers while Red Hill continued to score. The fourth quarter was much better for the Devon Meadows who only lost the final quarter by two goals, however, the damage had already been inflicted in the middle stages of the match which is where Red Hill were able to blow the score difference out so much.
