Winning all four quarters of their match, Dromana defeated Mt Eliza by 17 goals. The Tigers set themselves up well with a five-goal lead in the first term, however, it was their second quarter performance that saw them breakaway from the Redlegs with a 16-goal quarter and defensive effort that kept their opponents to only half of that. Despite losing the match by a fair bit, the Redlegs were competitive on the last quarter to only lose that quarter by a goal.

Rosebud continues to be a force to be reckoned with, climbing to the top of the ladder following their 24-goal win against Frankston YCW. The Stonekittens remained close in the first quarter, however, fell too far behind in the second.

Mornington dismantled Bonbeach with a 42-goal victory. Controlling the match from the beginning, the Bulldogs put their foot down early with a 12-goal lead in the opening term. The Sharks struggled to work their way into the match having only scored four goals come half-time. Mornington’s third quarter was their worst while it was Bonbeach’s best, however, the Bulldogs still kept the Sharks at bay only allowing them to score three goals. In the final quarter, Mornington returned to form scoring 12 goals to two.

Despite leading across the four quarters, Frankston were challenged by Pines. Three goals separated the teams at the end of the first quarter, then six in the second. During the third term the Bombers trimmed the margin back to four and were within striking distance. However, the Pines lifted in the final quarter to convincingly put away their opponents finishing the match with an 11-goal win.

Much like Super Netball telling everyone to forget what they know, it may be time to forget what you know in Division 1 with Edi-Asp suffering their second loss and falling outside of the top five. In a rematch of last year’s grand final Sorrento flipped the script. A tight contest in the first quarter saw the Sharks ahead of the Eagles by three goals. Sorrento then remained strong throughout the rest of the match to defeat Edi-Asp by 12 goals.
