Continuing their solid start to the season Hastings defeated Red Hill by 12 goals over the weekend.Hastings were quick out of the gates establishing a four-goal lead in the opening quarter. However, Red Hill won the second quarter to only be behind by two goals at halftime. From there onwards though the Blues charged home to a comfortable win.

The ANZAC Spirit Award was given to Hastings player Sarah Hosking.

A 24-goal win against Chelsea sees Crib Point sitting on top of the ladder after four rounds of netball. From the first whistle the Magpies were dangerous, escaping to a nine-goal lead in the first quarter. They were consistent for the first three quarters scoring 16-goals in each, however, in the last quarter they ran into trouble. Despite the scoreboard the Seagulls won the last quarter scoring five goals while keeping the Magpies to only two.

The ANZAC Spirit Award was awarded to Crib Point’s Adrienne Harris.

Seaford had a massive 57 goal win against Pearcedale. The Tigers pounced to a 37-goal lead in the first half. Goals were hard to come by for Pearcedale who only scored one goal in the third quarter and eight in the fourth. The loss leaves Pearcedale at the bottom of the ladder, the only team yet to get a win this season. The ANZAC Spirit Award went to Seaford’s Kara Hargrave.

Sitting second last on the ladder, Somerville won their match against fourth-placed Karingal in a tremendous upset.  The ANZAC Spirit Award was given to Somerville’s Sara Tanner.

A thrilling contest between Tyabb and Langwarrin saw a draw on 37-all between the two sides. Tyabb drew first blood with a three-goal lead at the end of the first quarter, however, Langwarrin stayed close behind. Down by a goal at the final break, the Kangaroos drew level with the Yabbies, however, were unable to break free with the victory.

The ANZAC Spirit Award for the match went to Sara Drain of Langwarrin.

Another draw closed out the round between Devon Meadows and Rye.

The Panthers got the jump early with a one goal lead after the first quarter, however, the Demons flipped the script in the second quarter taking a seven-goal lead into halftime. A 13-goal quarter from the Panthers saw them work their way back into the match to only be two goals behind their opponents heading into the final term. A tough fourth quarter saw Devon Meadows outperform Rye, however, they were unable to steal the win.
